Caring for the needy is the central message of the gospel and this is eloquently portrayed in these two beautiful decorative arched panels. In both scenes a woman is seated on the ground and in the second one she is holding a baby. Her need for clothing and food is provided for by a saint in a red robe who places a cloak around her shoulders in the first panel and gives bread to her in the second one.
